A guided path from onboarding to payout.

This playbook shows HR leaders and payroll managers how to configure the platform, onboard employees, and run compliant payroll every month.

Step 1 · Create your company workspace

  1. Sign up as a Company from the landing page and give your workspace a clear name (e.g., Acme Pvt Ltd).
  2. Visit App → Company → Settings to add statutory identifiers (PAN, TAN, GSTIN, PF, ESI) and your payroll bank account.
  3. Set up departments and office locations under App → Departments and App → Locations to mirror your organization chart.

Step 2 · Invite your team & assign roles

  1. Visit App → Company → Users & Roles to invite HR, payroll managers, and approvers.
  2. Assign roles that match responsibility: Company Admin for compliance, HR Manager for workforce operations, Payroll Manager for pay runs.
  3. Employees can register directly using the employee option—HR can attach them to the correct company afterwards.

Step 3 · Configure payroll components

  1. Define earnings and deductions under App → Salary Components, including taxable, PF/ESI/PT applicability, and calculation rules.
  2. Set employee salary structures in App → Employee Salaries with historic effective dates for increments.
  3. Use the Attendance and Leave modules to ensure loss-of-pay (LOP) days automatically reduce payroll.

Step 4 · Manage attendance & leave

  1. Upload biometric or spreadsheet logs in App → Attendance. Approved attendance feeds directly into payroll calculations.
  2. Create leave types and balances under App → Leave Types, and handle approvals in Leave Requests.
  3. Approved unpaid leave automatically adjusts LOP amounts during payroll computation.

Step 5 · Run payroll effortlessly

  1. Create a new pay run from App → Pay Runs by selecting the payroll period.
  2. Click Compute Pay Run to generate payslips with PF, ESI, PT, and TDS deductions. Review the summary cards for earnings, deductions, and LOP days.
  3. Download individual payslips (PDF) or the consolidated bank transfer CSV, then mark the run as paid.

Step 6 · Communicate & analyze

  1. Use announcements to broadcast policies or payroll notices to targeted departments.
  2. Track HR metrics from the dashboard—upcoming roadmap includes analytics, variance detection, and AI insights.
  3. Schedule recurring tasks for leave accrual, reminders, and compliance filings to keep everything on track.
